US suicide bombers, a lost recon plane spotting the Jap fleet, cracking the Jap naval code so we knew where they were going, an "already sunk" US carrier showing up for battle, even the fact that the carriers were not sunk at Pearl all played a critical part to the outcome, but I'll go with US suicide bombers--kind of poetic.

I was just thinking about how Von Ryan's Express and Gladiator shared the same endings, and wondering if that is why I liked both........ To engage a superior foe in mortal combat and accomplish the mission, even if you die in the process. Hmmmm
