The Avenger Axe

I finally made it to 501 weapons, so of course I had to screw it up and convert orc axes into the Avenger Axe. What a piece of junk! If you decide to convert orc axes into the Avenger---at least have over 650 weapons on hand.

Unless I'm missing something....not everthing new in Castle Age is a winner. :-(

the avenger axe is a decent weapon at 14/0, but it's just not worth the time to get 150 orc axe's. the time it takes to get that many axe's you could be spamming Genesis and Ragnarok for their sword drops (Genesis Sword 20/30, Frost Bolt 12/25 and Frost Edge 17/10). i've been in 5 Genesis fights and got 3 Genesis Swords out of the 5. still don't have a Frost Bolt or Frost Edge because Ragnaroks, especially successful one's are a rarity in themselves. i have been wanting to summon a Ragnarok for a while now but no one seems interested in them.

for anyone that hasn't got the avenger yet, it's not a game changing weapon especially on a scale where you have to collect so many orc axes and trade them to get 1 avenger. however, if you get to the point where you have all of the axes, and you will still have 500 weapons left after the alchemy then by all means do it because it is a nice addition but not a necessary one.

I lump that in with things like the spartan phalanx unit. Unless you are already doing the boss/monster that drops them, don't bother seeking them out. But by the time you get that many of those items, you ought to be able to buy better stuff. Gladiator swords are much better than orc axes. Just about everything is better than the spartan warriors. So yeah you might have lost 150 crappy items for 1 halfway decent one, but you ought to be able to replace them with better stuff.

You guys inspired me to get an Ice Creature up :-)

Avenger Axe segway to Create Atlantean Forcefield

I cant seem to find the armor. I have the other 3 parts. Does it drop from a certain serpent?

the Atlantean Armor is a drop from the Sapphire Serpent.

Just picked up Moonfall Amulet +40 attack and +40 defense....it seems like a real good piece of gear. I never hear anyone mention it.

Atlantean Forcefield---just got one of those...slightly disapponted at first but then I saw it was my 5th best magic item

Atlantean forcefields are definitely worth pursuing since good magics are few and far between.

The Moonfall Amulet is the second best in the game for it's slot, but it comes with a price: Health. Health is generally considered a useless stat, so many avoid "wasting" their demi blessings on Aurora. To get the Moonfall Amulet by slowly collecting demi points (without blessings) takes a long time.

Ah, very true ... but, if Guild Wars ever find their way to MySpace CA, then Health isn't ALL bad.

Aye, but a defense and active level 3 clerics & rogues beat a healthy player in my book.

and Avenger, as you've already noticed.

I think some as are fun to get just for the challenge. But there are alot of Monty Hall Booby prizes thats for sure.

Back over 501 weapons....112 are orc battle axes which makes a grand total 232 weapons that Orc axe quality and below :-(

You should switch over to multitudes of Ornate War Axes... purchasable at a very low price with stats of 7 atk 7 def, I found my invasive power to be quite better I think
