Need some Input on a Monster Hunter Build

I have read a couple different post, and im trying to decide on which to do for a nice Monster Hunter Build. Most of them say Pour all your points into Stam, and Attack power. But then shouldnt you get your defense up a bit for the Monsters with the Blue bars also to help fortify?
My stats atm are :

Energy : 110
Stamina : 130
Attack : 100
Defense : 45
Life : 100

Those Seem pretty Decent for a Level 70? Or did i totally screw it up? any kind of help , criticism is very much appreciated

I don't think you've "screwed" anything up for a Monster Hunter.

It does seem that you are a bit on the low side for Skill Points ... have you been working the early lands to L4 Influence and the early demi-quests? They are a great source for Skill Points that you can grab fairly quickly.

I think a Defense of ~100 is good for the Serpents -- I noticed a pretty significant jump in my fortifications on the Ancients at that point.

For Monster Hunter, Stamina is really the key -- I think you can go as high as 300 Stamina before adding any more to Attack -- the extra attacks will make-up for the lower damage per attack -- at least in my experience.

Yea im working on getting the levels up on Influence in the Land of fire at the moment. so i need to get my def up to atleast 100, and pour the rest into stam till 300, then work on attack? TYVM for the suggestion =D
