Retarded Question of the Day

I am trying to be a reliable Power House Hitter on Monster Fights. Everyone keeps telling me to get Barbarus as THE General to use for Monster Fights.
His ability increases Damage of Power Attacks/Fortify by 3x @ lvl 4 -. Does this just mean that instead of clicking 3 times with a Regular General, you just only have to click once for him to attack 3 times at once? But then, does this up your total damage? meaning, if you attack three times with a general, and once for barbarus(since he has the 3x) will barbarus do more total damage? does the 3x add to the damage also? This may be a retarded question, but i just wanted to make sure before i spent my FP's on him, if he really is the best bet. Cuz i really dont mind clicking 30 times on a 5 stam Power Atack
I may be just making this more complicated then it really is, but thats what us women are good for =D

barbarus is good in fights with a second bar ( health, fortifications, ice shield, etc ) in those fights, every time you attack, the monster hits back. Barbarus basically makes it so the monster doesn't get to hit back as much.

quick example:
with most other generals:
Attack 1: 10 damage to serpent, 2 back
Attack 2: 10 damage to serpent, 2 back
Attack 3: 12 damage to serpent, 1 back

Total: 32 damage to serpent, 5 damage back

With Barbarus against serpent:
Attack 1: 32 damage to serpent, 2 back.
Total: 32 damage to serpent, 2 damage back

i know the #s are no where near what we actually do, but just giving an example.

i have found though, Barbarus is out damaged by some other generals, like Zarevok. so he is great if you dont want to heal alot, but if you want damage, dont use him...hope this helps

i use barb on most of my dragons cuz every now and then i get lik 120 experience so mayb u dont do as much dam as zaverok but i think its worth it. i havent battled any 2 bar monsters w/ him yet

Basically, in lamens terms, you attack in 1 hit, 3 times, the monster you fight attacks back once, so your team doesn't get as much dmg on ur teams health bar as you would with a normal general.

Not too sure if this is just a given in everyone else's mind, but when I first got Barbarus (when he was first available), I was taken aback by the 3x thing. Took me a bit to figure it out. And it's kind of a "6 of one, ½ dozen of the other" with him. You *do* 3x the damage (and critical hits are especially nice), but remember that it also *takes* 3x the stamina/energy to complete this extra damage.

I use Barbarus almost exclusively on monster battles. Sometimes I switch down to Zarevok, but it's mostly Barbarus for me.

Right -- Barbarus uses 3X the stamina and delivers 3X the damage all in one click. So, the "benefits" of using Barbarus:

1. In fortification battles, you will do 3X the damage to the monster, while the monster only returns its normal damage to you. This can make a pretty big difference in reducing the amount of Energy expended to "heal" the party.

2. For those with a LOT of Stamina/Energy -- you can deal the same amount of damage/fortification with 1/3 the clicks -- again, the savings can really add up over time.

3. (and my favorite) If you are about to level and have a lot of Energy or Stamina available, you can Equip Barbarus and get 3X the effect -- often a pretty nice leg-up on XP toward the next level.
