When Attacking:
Weapon: Soulforge [+ 35 Attack, + 35 Defense]
Off-Hand: Sword of Redemption [+ 50 Attack, + 30 Defense]
Helmet: Helm of Dragon Power [+ 30 Attack, + 30 Defense]
Armor: Plate Of The Ages [+ 20 Attack, + 45 Defense]
Amulet: Transcendence [+ 46 Attack, + 36 Defense]
Spell: Frost Bolt [+ 12 Attack, + 25 Defense]
Glove: Soul Crusher [+ 16 Attack, + 16 Defense]
Equation used: Attack value + 0.7*(Defense value) = Total Attack value


When Defending:
Weapon: Soulforge [+ 35 Attack, + 35 Defense]

You're right. They've added some of the game elements since my original post.

how do you get the Sword of Redemption? i've looked around and i must be missing it somewhere. every time i lose a duel it's to someone that has worse gear than me except for that sword. pretty aggravating to have all better equipment and a better general but because they have that sword they win.

u get that sword from azeron in the demi-powers section as a reward for getting 4500 azeron demi points

You guys are much better versed at all this than I, but .... I've got volcanic helms, and the game equips me with the helm of dragon power. I've got archangels' battlegear, and the game equips me with the deathrune hellplate.

And, just as an FYI, (I don't yet have the full gear, and it appears I won't for some time), but today I got the Armageddon Pendant [+23atk, +18def], and the game equpped me with that as my amulet. Got three of those on one beast kill....

Armageddon Pendant is from Alpha Meph and is the 4th best Amulet.

It's not directly intuitive why the game equips certain gear when we have something else with better attack (or defense). The game uses an equation to factor in the opposite stat:

ATTACK POWER = 100% Attack + 70% Defense

DEFENSE POWER = 100% Defense + 70% Attack

Let's look at Volcanic Helm [32/14] versus Helm of Dragon Power [30/30]:

Volcanic Helm => 100% (32) + 70% (14) = 41.8 Attack Power
Helm of Dragon Power => 100% (30) + 70% (30) = 51.0 Attack Power

LOL.. It's math. I was in the advanced class until 9th grade.... and that was a long time ago. I know very little, but I do understand what you put up there!! *GASP* Thank you! I'd be far more well-to-do had I continued in math, but I'd also understand a lot of strangers' conversations had I retained 1/5 of the Spanish I got over the 11 years I took that in school.... IOW, I've forgotten a lot!

I admit to reading quite a few threads in this forum and having it all go quite far over my head. I bow to everyone's greatness. LOL.

Also kajira, your att/def rating on ur stats works as much the same.
